This Order Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations are handled on the Africaribana Go platform, operated by Africaribana Businesses INC.

Africaribana Go connects customers with independent restaurants, grocery vendors, and delivery partners. Because many orders involve freshly prepared food and time-sensitive delivery logistics, cancellation rules must be followed carefully.

By placing an order through Africaribana Go, customers agree to this Cancellation Policy.


1. Platform Role

Africaribana Go operates as a technology marketplace platform connecting customers, vendors, and delivery partners.

Orders placed through the platform are fulfilled by independent vendors.

Once vendors begin preparing an order or a delivery partner has been assigned, cancellation may no longer be possible.


2. Customer Cancellation Window

Customers may cancel an order only if the vendor has not yet begun preparing the order.

Orders may usually be canceled within a short window after placing the order.

If cancellation occurs before preparation begins, customers may receive:

• Full refund to the original payment method
• Platform credit (depending on payment processing timelines)

Once preparation begins, the order may no longer be eligible for cancellation.


3. Vendor Acceptance and Order Preparation

When a vendor accepts an order, preparation may begin immediately.

Because many food items are prepared fresh, cancellation may not be possible once preparation starts.

Customers are encouraged to review their order carefully before confirming payment.


4. Cancellation After Order Preparation

If a customer requests cancellation after preparation has started, the cancellation request may be declined.

In such situations:

• The order may still be delivered or prepared for pickup
• Refunds may not be issued

This policy helps protect vendors from losses caused by canceled prepared food.


5. Delivery Stage Cancellations

Once a delivery partner has picked up an order or is en route, the order cannot be canceled.

At this stage:

• The delivery process has already begun
• Delivery partners have committed time and resources to the order

Orders canceled during delivery may still be charged in full.


6. Vendor-Initiated Cancellations

A vendor may cancel an order in certain situations, including:

• Product or ingredient unavailable
• Vendor unable to fulfill the order
• Unexpected operational issues

If a vendor cancels an order, customers will receive:

• Full refund, or
• Platform credit if selected

Customers will be notified through the platform if a vendor cancels an order.


7. Platform-Initiated Cancellations

Africaribana Go may cancel orders in rare situations such as:

• Payment verification issues
• Fraud detection
• Vendor system errors
• Delivery partner unavailability

If Africaribana cancels an order, customers will receive a full refund.


8. Delivery Failure Cancellations

Orders may be canceled if delivery cannot be completed due to:

• Incorrect delivery address
• Customer unavailable to receive the order
• Unsafe delivery conditions

In such cases, refunds may not be issued if the issue resulted from customer error.


9. Pickup Order Cancellations

For orders marked as pickup, cancellation may only be possible before the vendor begins preparing the order.

Once preparation begins, pickup orders may not be canceled.

Customers should ensure they can collect their order before selecting the pickup option.


10. Abuse of Cancellation Privileges

Africaribana Go monitors cancellation activity to prevent abuse.

Accounts that repeatedly place and cancel orders may face:

• Temporary account restrictions
• Cancellation limitations
• Account suspension

Fraudulent activity may result in permanent removal from the platform.


11. Refund Processing for Cancellations

Approved cancellations may result in refunds issued to:

• Original payment method, or
• Platform credit

Refund processing may take 3–10 business days depending on the payment provider.


12. Order Changes Instead of Cancellation

If customers need to modify an order after placing it, they should contact the vendor or platform support as soon as possible.

Changes may be possible if preparation has not started.

However, modifications are not guaranteed.


13. Platform Discretion

Africaribana Go reserves the right to evaluate cancellation requests based on available information including:

• Vendor confirmation
• Order preparation status
• Delivery status

Final decisions regarding cancellations and refunds are made at the discretion of Africaribana Go.
